Amazon connections

Use Settings → Connections after onboarding to check and renew the Seller Central and Amazon Ads connections. sellerfox monitors each connection separately. A problem with one connection does not change the status of the other.

A disrupted Seller Central connection interrupts data collection from Seller Central and the Ads console

Already loaded figures stay visible, so the Dashboard can look unchanged even when sellerfox is no longer collecting new data from Seller Central or the Ads console. If order, report, product, or advertising data stops updating, check the connection status first.

Who can manage connections

Users with the “Owner” or “Admin” role can open this tab. The workspace region and connected Seller Central account are fixed after setup. Connect Amazon accounts covers the prerequisites, Amazon authorization, region, target currency, and marketplaces.

A Seller Central connection is required. Amazon Ads is optional and has its own authorization process. If you authorize Amazon Ads after onboarding, sellerfox loads the available historical advertising data separately.

The Seller Central connection is active; you can authorize Amazon Ads separately.

Connection status (SP-API)

The Dashboard navigation shows both connection statuses and links to Settings → Connections. sellerfox checks the status twice a day, so a change may not appear until the next check.

StatusWhat to do
Not activated yetAuthorize Seller Central.
No issuesNo action is required.
Connection problemsThe latest check failed. Check the status again after the next automatic check.
Connection expiredSelect “Renew connection” and reconnect to Seller Central.
Issue in MarketplaceUnder Settings → Connections, identify the marketplace shown in red. Then verify in Seller Central that the marketplace is still active. If you have stopped selling there for good, remove the marketplace under Settings → Workspace → Relevant marketplaces.
Seller Account "AT_RISK"Review the account status in Seller Central.
Seller Account deactivatedCheck why the account is deactivated in Seller Central.

One failed check does not mark the connection as expired. Three failed checks in a row produce “Connection expired”. A later successful check clears the connection error automatically.

Renew the SP-API connection

You can only renew the Seller Central connection when the status is “Connection expired”. You can only reconnect the Seller Central account that was used to set up the workspace.

  1. Open Settings → Connections.
  2. Under “Amazon Seller Central Account”, select “Renew connection”.
  3. Sign in to the same Seller Central account and reconnect to Seller Central.
  4. Return to sellerfox and confirm that the status is “No issues”.

If you try to connect a different Seller Central account, sellerfox rejects the connection. The workspace remains bound to the account used during setup. After a successful renewal, sellerfox resumes collecting orders from the last successful point and automatically loads any orders missed during the interruption. Report data is updated on the regular schedules. sellerfox automatically requests past report dates again according to the reload schedule and fills missing data for those dates. If a gap remains after the affected date has been requested again, contact support.

Connect an Amazon Ads account

StatusWhat to do
Not activated yetSelect “Authorize Amazon Ads Account”. If you do not need advertising data, no action is required.
No issuesNo action is required.
No Ads profiles foundCheck whether a suitable advertising profile exists in the Ads console, then reconnect to the Ads console.
Connection problemsCheck whether sellerfox is still authorized in the Ads console. If the status remains after the next check, contact support.

The Ads API connection has no expired status and no “Renew connection” action. If Amazon Ads is inactive or sellerfox finds no advertising profiles, you can reconnect to the Ads console.

Effects of a disrupted Seller Central connection

Data refresh schedule explains when new data normally appears and how sellerfox reloads missing reports.

Disconnect sellerfox from Amazon

You cannot disconnect Seller Central or Amazon Ads directly in sellerfox because Amazon does not provide a way to do this from sellerfox. Revoke the relevant authorization directly with Amazon instead:

  • Revoke the sellerfox authorization under Seller Central → Apps & Services.
  • Revoke the sellerfox authorization in the Ads console.

After you revoke access, sellerfox no longer loads new data through that connection. Data from other sources that remain active can continue to update. Previously loaded workspace data remains available under the retention rules until the workspace itself is deleted.

What the connection does and does not cover

QuestionAnswer
Does sellerfox receive my Amazon password? No. You sign in directly with Amazon and approve access there. sellerfox receives neither your password nor your 2FA code.
Can two workspaces connect the same Seller Central account? No. A Seller Central account can only be connected to one workspace. After that workspace has been fully deleted, you can connect the account to another workspace.
Does sellerfox support Vendor Central or Amazon Merch on Demand? No. sellerfox connects to Seller Central through SP-API only.
