Events
Events show changes to listings, catalog data, the Buy Box, and the connected Seller Central account. You can review all events in a dedicated list. They also appear on the timeline of your product KPIs. This helps you see which events coincide with KPI changes. You can also record your own actions as custom events.
Viewers can review, filter, and export events. Owners and Admins can also create, edit, and delete custom events and configure automatic tracking. See Permissions for details.
Work with the events list
Open “Events” from the menu on the left. The list starts with the most recent start date and groups entries by month and day. As you scroll, sellerfox loads 50 more entries at a time. Select an entry to see the affected products and details.
Set the filters above the list, then select “Apply filter”:
| Filter | What it changes |
|---|---|
| “Report date” | Today, Yesterday, the last 7, 14, or 30 days, or a custom period. |
| “Event Categories” | One or more automatic or custom categories. |
| “Product list” | All products, a custom selection, or a saved product list. |
| “Marketplaces” | One or more marketplaces; shown only when the workspace has several active marketplaces. |
Select “Export” to download the filtered result. Events is the only view that offers JSON. Export your data lists the formats available in other views.
| Format | Output |
|---|---|
| XLSX | Spreadsheet. The default format. |
| CSV | Delimited text file. |
| JSON | An array of the filtered event rows. |
sellerfox displays prices, Buy Box values, and MSRP amounts in event details using the affected marketplace's currency, not the workspace target currency.
Create a custom event
Create a custom event to record your own actions, such as a price test or campaign launch:
- Open “Events” and select “New event”.
- Enter an “Event name” and, optionally, a description.
- Select “Show advanced form” to add optional “Goals” and “Learnings”.
- Select at least one affected product.
- Choose a date. For a range, enable “Multiple days” and set the start and end dates.
- Select “Create event”.
Owners and Admins can also create a custom event directly from a product chart. Select a data point; the date is already selected in the new event.
Custom events appear in both the list and product charts. You can edit or delete custom events only.
Show events on product charts
Select at least one product in the chart. Without a selected product, sellerfox does not display event markers. Then enable “Show events” under “Advanced chart settings”. A one-day event appears as a vertical line. When a multi-day event spans more than one interval at the selected granularity, sellerfox displays the event as a gray band. An event contained within a single week or month appears as a line.
Under “Advanced chart settings”, you can show or hide markers and labels and choose “Event Categories”. Select a chart point to open every matching event for that period. Owners and Admins can create a “New event” there with the date already selected.
Configure automatically tracked events
Owners and Admins choose which changes sellerfox automatically records as events under Events → Event Settings. The settings apply to the entire workspace.
