Connect Amazon accounts
Before you connect sellerfox to Seller Central, decide which Seller Central account and selling region the workspace uses. Then choose the target currency and relevant marketplaces. A Seller Central connection is required; Amazon Ads is optional.
Prerequisites
- You need an Amazon selling account on the Professional selling plan. Start the authorization in sellerfox and confirm it in Seller Central.
- Use a separate workspace for each Seller Central account in each selling region.
- Sign in to Seller Central with a user who can authorize sellerfox. If Amazon's consent screen does not appear, ask whoever manages the Seller Central account to complete the authorization.
- For
Search Query Performance Reportdata, the seller must be registered in Amazon Brand Registry.
Seller Central is required
sellerfox receives workspace data through the Seller Central connection and SP-API. You can skip Amazon Ads during setup and authorize it later under Settings → Connections.
Decide how to structure the workspace
| Choice | What it controls | Changeable later? |
|---|---|---|
| “Europe” or “North America” | Which Amazon marketplaces the workspace can use | No. The region is fixed once SP-API is connected or setup is complete. |
| “Target currency” | The currency used for totals and converted monetary values | No. It is permanently set during setup. |
| “Relevant marketplaces” | Which marketplace data sellerfox loads and shows in filters | Yes, under Settings → Workspace |
A workspace covers one region at a time and can include multiple marketplaces within that region. In the EU region, these include DE, IT, and FR; see Supported marketplaces for the complete list. If you sell in the EU and North America, you need two workspaces. For more information about organizing and managing workspaces, see Workspaces, teams & roles.
When you add a marketplace after setup, sellerfox starts a historical load for the new marketplace only. The rest of the workspace data remains intact.
Removing a marketplace stops keyword tracking
Removing a relevant marketplace from the workspace stops tracking for all keywords in that marketplace. The keywords are deleted and the credits they used are released. Their existing history is retained.
Adding the marketplace again does not automatically restart keyword tracking for that marketplace. You must add the keywords you want to track again. For keywords that were tracked previously, sellerfox continues the existing history.
For more information, see Supported marketplaces.
What you grant sellerfox
Amazon groups SP-API access into roles. sellerfox uses read-only access: it never changes listings, prices, inventory, or orders, and it does not read buyer names, addresses, or contact details.
| Data sellerfox reads | Why | Amazon role |
|---|---|---|
Sales & Traffic Business Report and Search Query Performance Report | Sales, traffic, and search-query KPIs across the dashboard | Brand Analytics |
| Catalog and listing details, open listings | Product names, images, variations, and which ASINs are active | Product Listing |
| Fee estimates and pricing notifications | Estimated Amazon fees in Profit Tracking, and Amazon's notices about your prices | Pricing |
| Settled transactions | Actual fees and other amounts in Profit Tracking | Finance and Accounting |
| Orders and order changes | The Orders view and profit per order, without buyer details | Inventory and Order Tracking |
| Account status and marketplace participation | Which marketplaces the workspace can offer, and whether Amazon changes the status of the connected account | Selling Partner Insights |
The Amazon Ads authorization covers campaign management, but sellerfox uses it only to read your advertising profiles, campaign and ad structure, and performance reports. sellerfox does not create, change, or pause campaigns.
Authorize Amazon
When setting up a workspace, connect sellerfox to Seller Central through the “Setup guide”. Only the Workspace Owner can create this connection.
For step-by-step instructions, see Quickstart. It explains how to choose your selling region, connect sellerfox to Seller Central, and optionally add Amazon Ads.
After completing the “Setup guide”, Owners and Admins manage the Amazon connections under Settings → Connections. See Permissions for the actions available to each role.
What happens after setup
After setup is complete, sellerfox loads historical data for the selected marketplaces. See Data refresh schedule for the range, duration, and progress of this load. Amazon connections explains how to check, renew, or revoke an existing connection.
