Date range & comparison
Use the toolbar above the Dashboard tabs to control which data you see and what sellerfox compares it with.
Set the period
Select the date display to open “Select date”. Choose a preset, or set the period with “Year”, “Month”, “Week”, or “Custom period”. Then select “Apply filter”.
“Last 7 days” and “Last 30 days” end yesterday in the Dashboard. Choose “Custom period” when you specifically want to include today.
A sellerfox week runs from Sunday through Saturday. This cannot be changed because Amazon's weekly reports also start on Sunday.
Choose a comparison period
In the same dialog, choose what sellerfox compares the selected period with:
| Mode | Comparison |
|---|---|
| “Previous period” | the equally long period immediately before (default) |
| “Previous year (YoY)” | the selected period one year earlier |
| “Custom” | dates you enter; both must be valid |
| “Off” | no comparison |
Comparison values appear in KPI Overview, the KPI tiles, and supported widgets. Time course does not show a comparison.
Read comparison values
In tables and KPI tiles, the comparison value sits in smaller type below the current value and always refers to the same KPI. Select it to move to the next of three display modes:
| Display mode | What you see |
|---|---|
| percentage change | the change in percent, with an up or down arrow |
| absolute difference | the change in the KPI's own unit, with a sign |
| comparison period value | the same KPI's value in the comparison period, with an arrow |
The display mode changes in every table and tile at once, not just the cell you selected. Green and red follow the KPI, so a falling ACoS 7D (SP) is shown in green. When the number is the comparison period's value, it stays in the default color and only the arrow shows the direction.
Hovering a comparison value opens a tooltip with “Current period” and “Comparison period” — each with its dates and value — plus “Absolute difference:” and “Relative difference:”.
The Performance PDF Report always uses the percentage change.
Choose a granularity
“Granularity” determines whether Time course and charts group data by days, weeks, or months. Keep “AUTO” selected when you want sellerfox to choose a suitable grouping for the period.
The Search Term Analyzer supports only “Weeks” and “Months” because Amazon does not provide daily SQPR reports.
When you select “Weeks” or “Months”, sellerfox expands the reporting and comparison periods to full weeks or months. If the resulting dates differ from your original selection, the toolbar shows the expanded range with a warning icon.
Which views the toolbar controls
The toolbar applies to “Overview”, “Marketplaces”, “Products”, “Product detail”, and “Search Term Analyzer (SQPR)”. The reporting and comparison periods remain active when you move between these views.
Orders, Profit Tracking, and BSR Explorer have their own date controls.
How marketplace time zones affect the dates
The toolbar uses UTC day boundaries, while Amazon assigns report data to the local calendar day of each marketplace. Values can therefore differ at the edges of a period.
Use the time-zone reference for marketplace report dates. When a sellerfox figure and an Amazon screen disagree, work through the Seller Central comparison.
