sellerfox MCP Server: Analyze Your Amazon Data in Claude and ChatGPT
The sellerfox MCP server connects Claude and ChatGPT to your Amazon data. Ask questions in the chat and get answers based on your sales, advertising, profit, keyword ranking and SQPR data, with read-only access. For ChatGPT, there is an official sellerfox plugin.
Why did sales drop last week? Is the higher ad spend paying off? Did the new main image change the conversion rate? Your Amazon data holds the answers. Getting to those answers usually means exporting reports, building pivot tables and pasting numbers into a chat window.
The sellerfox MCP server skips that step. As a sellerfox MCP server, sellerfox connects Claude, ChatGPT and other compatible AI assistants to your sellerfox Workspace. You ask a question in plain language, the assistant retrieves the matching figures from sellerfox, and the answer is based on your own numbers.
New: Since 13 October 2026, ChatGPT connects to sellerfox through the official sellerfox plugin for ChatGPT. You don’t need to copy a server URL.
What is a sellerfox MCP server?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects AI assistants to external data sources and tools. A sellerfox MCP server applies this standard to Amazon seller data: the AI assistant queries sales, advertising and ranking data directly instead of working with numbers you paste into the chat.
The sellerfox MCP server uses the data sellerfox already loads for your Workspace. You don’t need CSV exports or your own Amazon API credentials: you sign in with your sellerfox account and choose which Workspaces the assistant may read. The assistant works with the same KPIs you see in your sellerfox dashboards. The KPI Explorer explains every KPI.
What Amazon data Claude and ChatGPT can access via MCP
The sellerfox MCP server provides read-only tools for these areas:
Sales and traffic: sales, units, sessions, page views and conversion rate per product and marketplace, as totals or as a trend over time.
Advertising: ad spend, ACOS, ROAS and TACoS per product and marketplace.
Profit: revenue, costs and profit, broken down into COGS, refunds, advertising, Amazon fees and other costs. Compare by marketplace, parent ASIN, child ASIN or SKU.
Keyword rankings: organic and sponsored rankings of your tracked keywords over time, and which of your products rank for a keyword.
Search Query Performance Report (SQPR): search query volume, impressions, clicks, add-to-carts and purchases per search query, including the share your products capture.
Listing events: listing and catalog changes, Buy Box losses, Seller Central account status changes and your own events, newest first.
Best Seller Rank (BSR): the daily rank history of a product and the latest rank changes across products.
The tool overview in the documentation lists every tool. In sellerfox, the same data powers Product Analytics, Profit Tracking, Keyword Tracking, the Search Term Analyzer, Listing Event Tracking and the BSR Explorer.
Because events and KPIs come from the same Workspace, the assistant can put a listing change next to the conversion rate before and after the change. On request, the assistant also checks data readiness before an analysis: known connection problems, imports still running and the newest available sales, traffic and advertising reports for each marketplace.
Example prompts for Amazon sellers
Name the Workspace, the marketplace and the date range, then say what you want to compare or understand:
“Summarize sales, advertising spend and profit over the last 30 days for my Workspace on the German marketplace. Check data availability first and flag any gaps.”
“We changed the main image of ASIN B0XXXXXXXX on amazon.de on 15 October. Compare sessions and conversion rate for the two weeks before and after, list the listing events in that period and check whether the organic rankings of our tracked keywords changed.”
“According to SQPR, which search queries brought my products the most purchases in the last complete month? For which search queries is my click share falling?”
“Which of my products lost the most Best Seller Rank (BSR) positions recently?”
You can continue in the same conversation, for example by asking for the daily figures of a single variant. More tips are in Start an analysis. Before you compare profit by product, read Profit queries and cost attribution: advertising costs, for example, cannot be attributed by SKU.
How to connect the sellerfox MCP server
An Owner or Admin first enables MCP access for the Workspace in sellerfox. You then connect your AI assistant, sign in with your sellerfox account and choose the Workspaces the assistant may read. You need the Owner or Admin role in every Workspace you want to connect.
The MCP server guide in the sellerfox documentation shows every step with screenshots:
ChatGPT: connect the official sellerfox plugin or open the plugin in ChatGPT directly
Other AI assistants: connect another MCP client that supports remote MCP servers with browser-based sign-in
Read-only access you control
Read-only: the assistant can read data but cannot create, change or delete anything in your Workspace.
Enabled per Workspace: MCP access stays off until an Owner or Admin enables MCP access for the Workspace. Viewer and External cannot use MCP. The permissions matrix shows every role.
Your choice of Workspaces: you approve each Workspace for each connection and can change the selection or revoke a connection at any time.
Checked on every request: sellerfox checks five requirements on every data request: account, membership, role, Workspace setting and approval. A member removed from a Workspace immediately loses MCP access to that Workspace’s data. Every connection must be authorized again after 180 days at the latest.
Transparent data processing: the connected AI client or the AI provider may process the responses, including outside the EU and EEA. You confirm this notice when you enable MCP access. See where data leaves sellerfox.
More questions?
The sellerfox documentation answers further questions:
Data freshness: the data refresh schedule shows when each data source is updated.
Marketplaces: MCP queries cover the active marketplaces of your Workspace.
Missing or low results: Troubleshooting explains what to check.
