Give your metrics the context they need

An unusual trend raises questions. Events help you investigate the relevant period more closely.

01

What changed in the listing?

Review detected changes to product data such as titles, images or bullet points. Event details show the affected products and information about the particular change.

02

What did I change myself?

Record a price test, campaign launch or another action as a custom event. Select the affected products and a date or date range.

03

What happened in the metrics at the same time?

Show events in product charts alongside revenue, sessions or other selected metrics. Use overlapping dates as a starting point for further investigation.

When a change becomes visible

Recording depends on the data source and the event categories enabled in your Workspace. An event appears once sellerfox has recorded the corresponding change.

Listing status and issues

Events for listing status and listing issues are recorded after the relevant Amazon notifications, when recording is enabled.

Titles, images and other catalog data

Catalog changes are detected during daily data collection. sellerfox needs a previous data snapshot for comparison; changes between two collections may go undetected.

Your own actions

A custom event appears in the event list after you create it and can be displayed in the product chart. This lets you record actions that Amazon does not report as changes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Depending on the enabled recording settings, you can see catalog changes such as titles, images and bullet points, plus notifications about listing status and listing issues. Custom events add actions such as a campaign launch.

    Event categories and settings
  • No. Listing notifications and daily catalog collection follow different schedules. The first catalog collection has no previous value to compare; after longer data gaps or between collections, a complete change history is also not possible.

    Data refresh by source
  • The event list is a history of recorded events. It is not a general instant-alert feature. KPI alerts are a separate feature with their own conditions and email settings.

    KPI alerts
  • No. A recorded event is not a live lookup. Notifications about Featured Offer eligibility do not cover every transfer of the Buy Box between sellers.

    Events and their limits
  • Yes. You can try sellerfox for 30 days without a credit card. Automatic events require an Amazon connection and the relevant recording settings to be enabled. Available data and allowances determine what you can analyze during the trial.
